During the war in Sudan, many people fled to Uganda, and children found refuge at the Redeemer School in Adjumani. John Lege, one of those refugee children, was kidnapped along with sixteen others by Lord Kony and his rebels. John Lege was brutally murdered in front of his classmates. The John Lege Project was named as a reminder that behind the statistics in these challenged areas of Africa are children who deserve a better life.
